Support young professionals at WORLDSKILLS RUSSIA 2019

On January 26, the closing ceremony of the III regional championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia) was held in Orel, one of the honorary sponsors of which was the company “DENKAR”. The championship was spent from January, 21 till January, 25th on several competitive platforms. The participants of the championship competed in 24 competences of different blocks of professions in the building sphere, creativity and design, industrial production, services and service of civil transport.

It is no secret that the need for specialists in working professions is one and a half times higher than in the areas of activities requiring higher special education. Therefore, in order to retain young personnel in production and raise the prestige of mass working professions an annual contest of professional skills among young workers is held.

As part of the preparation of the national team of Orel to the national and world championships training in the competence of “Welding Technology” under the guidance of the world leader in the manufacture of welding equipment Russian-Swedish company “Esab” and caring companies Orel region, such as the company “DENKAR”.

Contestants performed practical tasks and tested their theoretical knowledge of the profession. Experts of international class thoroughly monitored the work of each individual competitor, detected deviations from the set parameters, monitored the amount of materials used, and evaluated the competitors’ work in real time. Practical tasks were designed to ensure equal opportunity for all participants and were performed on the same type of equipment.

According to the results of the competition, the first place in the Regional Championship “WorldSkils Russia 2019 Orel Young Professionals” in the competence of “Welding (WELDING)” was taken by Ravshanov Firuzzhon Ashrafovich, a 3rd-year student of the BPOU OO “Oryol College of Railways named after V.A. Lapochkin.” K.A. Uchasov, Head of the “DENKAR” bottling equipment department, congratulated the winner in a solemn atmosphere and presented him with memorable gifts.

The closing ceremony of the Championship took place in the Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren named after Y. A. Gagarin. It was attended by Vadim Sokolov, First Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Government of Oryol region, Tatiana Shevtsova, Head of Education Department of Oryol region, heads of secondary vocational education organizations, Oryol Institute of Education Development, contestants and experts.

Worldskills is an international, non-profit movement aimed at raising the prestige of the working professions and developing skills. From traditional trades to multidisciplinary professions in industry and services in the 75 countries participating in the movement, WorldSkills has a direct impact on the growth of vocational education worldwide.

The WorldSkills Championships are held biennially in various countries. They are attended by young skilled workers, university and college students under the age of 22 as participants, as well as well-known professionals, specialists, industrial training masters and mentors – as experts evaluating the completion of the task. Contestants are selected at regional professional championships in 75 WorldSkills member countries. They demonstrate their technical abilities, individual and collective qualities, solving problems as close as possible to real ones. The result of the team’s performance speaks not only about the personal professional qualities of the participants, but also about the level of professional training and the general level of quality of services in the homeland of the participants.
